What is a child health assessment (bilans)?
It is a periodic, comprehensive assessment of a child’s development and health — measurements, examination and a discussion of development and vaccinations. It is carried out at defined ages.
When should I take my child to a paediatrician?
For symptoms of infection, worrying changes in behaviour or development, and preventively — for health assessments and consultations on care and nutrition.
What does a neonatologist do?
A neonatologist cares for the newborn in the first weeks of life — assessing development, supporting parents and, if needed, referring for further diagnostics.
Do you perform ultrasound in infants?
Yes. Paediatric care includes transfontanelle (head) ultrasound and abdominal ultrasound.
